Cruefest Atlanta Charity Event Announced
April 15, 2012
For more than 10 years, the event known as “Cruefest” has promoted bands that follow in the spirit of the rock band Motley Crue. The charity events are held throughout the year at various locations around the world to spotlight these bands and to raise money for the Skylar Neil Foundation.
In 1995, Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil lost his daughter Skylar to cancer. Since that time, he has tried to do everything he can do to help raise awareness and much needed funding for children’s illnesses. Vince is so humbled by the response the Cruefest events have received.
To date, Cruefest charity events across the world have helped Vince raise nearly two million dollars to fund research to combat cancer, AIDS, and leukemia. Vince knows that Skylar would be proud of the work that we’ve done, and couldn’t think of a better way to honor her memory.
English Nick of 97.1 The River will host the third annual Cruefest Atlanta charity event, set to take place June 1st, 2012 at the 10 High Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Scheduled performers include Hellyen, Citizen Icon, Durty Rockstar (featuring former Gypsy Pistoleros bassist Aaron “Angel” Lee), The Unsatisfied, a one night only reunion of The Living Abortions and Motley Crue tribute band Dr. Feelgood Of Atlanta. Attendees are asked to come celebrate the miracle of life with us and help raise funds to continue the fight against childhood diseases. The highlight of Cruefest Atlanta is the opportunity for Motley Crue fans to come together and have a great time while raising money for a worthy cause.
All proceeds will be donated directly to the Skylar Neil Foundation. Our last 2 events raised over $7,000 for charity through ticket sales and drawings for merchandise donated by our generous sponsors. This year we hope to raise even more!
The bands make this an event to remember by donating their talent, and businesses can help make the event a success with financial contributions and donating merchandise to be used in our drawings. If you would like to donate an item to our gift bags, auction or raffle, please send an email to CRUEFESTATLANTA@HOTMAIL.COM or www.facebook.com/cruefestatlanta, or call event organizer Steven Fasone at 404-429-4919 to discuss these and many other ways you can get involved.
The band members of Motley Crue have no affiliation with this event and are not liable for any transactions that take place at this event or for any actions that occur after the event. This charity event is not part of Motley Crue’s summer tour known as “Crue Fest”.
