Kix guitarist Ronnie Younkins back in line-up while reportedly staying in rehab another month
Great news for Kix fans and guitarist Ronnie “10/10” Younkins as the guitarist was back in the band’s line-up last night (May 20, 2017) at the Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Flintstone, Maryland, USA.
Back on March 25, 2017, Younkins, who has battled substance abuse problems in the past, went missing for Kix‘s concert at the Hummels Wharf Fire Company at Hummels Wharf, Pennsylvania, USA but was later found and returned home. Kix ended up playing that night without Younkins in the line-up.
Back on April 13, 2017, Kix posted the following update via Facebook on Younkins:
“To all our fans:
Thank you for your concern about our dear friend Ronnie. Our hearts and prayers go out to him and his family, and we wish him the best on his continued journey toward recovery. As we all well know, the road to recovery is not easy, but with the support of family, friends, and fans too, this difficult time becomes just a little easier to manage.
Ronnie is currently headed to a rehab facility and will be in good hands. Brian will once again fill Ronnie’s shoes until Ronnie is ready to return to KIX, to his side of the stage, which is waiting for him.
See you soon…
Brian, Jimmy, Steve and Mark“
Younkins will reportedly continue attending rehab for the next month while being allowed to play at Kix‘s upcoming shows during that timespan.
