Michael Sweet states that new Sweet & Lynch record ‘Unified’ is not a metal album

Sweet & Lynch‘s sophomore album Unified was released two days ago via Frontiers Musci Srl. Sweet & Lynch lead vocalist Michael Sweet turned to Facebook to explain that the record is not a metal album.

The following message was posted on Sweet’s Facebook page earlier today:

“I’ve been seeing a few of “mixed” comments about the Sweet & Lynch album. At the end of the day we’re very pleased with the results. If you came at this album expecting Stryper or Dokken you may be a little disappointed. If you listen with an open mind, you may actually love it. We do! It’s not a heavy metal album nor was it ever intended to be. We went into this trying to make a throw back album to remind us all just how special the songs from the 70’s and 80’s were. We believe that we accomplished that. For anyone who expected a “metal” album, sorry to have let you down. For all of you who have an open mind and listen without preexisting expectations, you’ll get it. We put our heart and soul into this album and we couldn’t be more proud of the results. We wouldn’t change a thing😉 Thank you all for supporting what we do. We’re looking forward to more…”
