NIKKI SIXX DONATES ITEMS FOR HOME SWEET HOME CHARITY:
August 11, 2008
Home Sweet Home (www.myspace.com/homesweethomeevent) is a benefit event for Covenant House Toronto. Inspired by musical hero Nikki Sixx’s (bassist for world renowned band – Motley Crue) efforts with his charity; Running Wild In The Night – benefiting Covenant Houses across North America, co-organizers Liz Morellato and Vicky Pfeiffer sought out a way to mix rock ‘n’ roll, charity, glam and fun all into one sweet package.
The inaugural fundraiser will take place Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 at Tattoo Rock Parlour (567 Queen Street West-Toronto). Festivities will get underway at 7:00pm, featuring live music, gift bags, door prizes, a silent auction, and rock ‘n’ roll snacks courtesy of our friends at Tattoo. The event will wrap up at 11pm…Plenty of time for you to get home to your loved ones. But before you leave, we hope to be able to inform you that we’ve surpassed our goal of raising in excess of $10,000!
Admission includes a gift bag to the first 100 people, a chance to win one of our fabulous door prizes, some snacks courtesy of Tattoo Rock Parlour, Live Music by Chop Suicide, CRUED and entertainment by Mysterion the Mind Reader, and a kick-ass silent auction featuring autographed items from Nikki Sixx (such as stage clothes, and an autographed copy of Heroin Diaries and The Dirt amongst other things) and much, much more to come!
Oh…and Crueheads!! Treat this as your official pre-party, as Cruefest stops in Toronto on Thursday, August 28th at the Molson Amphitheatre!
