Shokker complete first full-length album
Chicago, Illinois, USA based rockers Shokker have announced that they have completed their first full-length album.
The following message was posted by Shokker guitarist and founder Casey Tremont on the group’s Facebook about an hour ago:
“The album is finally done! After a very long wait, we can finally say that we have a full length record! Can’t wait for everybody to hear it. BIG thanks to Dave at Fat Studios in Grayslake for recording and engineering it, and to Dean Tremont for assistant production. This is going to kick major ass! More details will be announced soon! Thank you all for your patience and never-ending support!
Although Shokker have recorded a number of songs in the last six years or so, the band has shelved most of that material and only released one three song self-titled EP thus far. Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Shokker: “Aside from the slight occasional excess in guitar shredding, the three songs offered on Shokker‘s self-titled EP are really good straight up heavy metal. The best part of Shokker‘s self-titled EP is the voice of lead singer Rachl “Raxx” Quinn who simply can scream and sing with the best of them. I could listen to her voice all night long! In terms of picking and choosing which one is my favorite track out of the three songs, they are all quite good so it’s a tough task.”
Shokker are scheduled to play at the M-Pre Party in Columbia, Maryland, USA on Thursday, April 27, 2017, which is held the night before the M3 Rock Festival. Joining Shokker at the M-Pre Party will be Chaotic Resemblance, Farcry, Tempt and Last Call Messiahs with the latter returning after already playing the event in 2015. The M-Pre Party has proven to be an important showcase for up and coming bands since Station, who have played the M-Pre Party four years in a row from 2013 to 2016, will now be playing Day One of the M3 Rock Festival on Friday, April 28, 2017.
