Stryper Singer Working On New Solo Album And Book

December 14, 2011

Stryper Singer Working On New Solo Album And BookStryper vocalist Michael Sweet has revealed that he is working on an autobiography of his life as well as a new solo album, his first collection of original compositions since ‘Truth’.

“I’m writing an autobiographical book, with the help of my good friend Doug Van Pelt (of HM Magazine). I’m really excited about this”, states Sweet. “For the first time it will be an opportunity for me to share with you the real story of my life.”

“I’m also recording a new solo record that I’m very excited about”, continues the singer. “Believe it or not but it’s been 11 years since the release of my last solo project, ‘Truth’! Both the book and the record will be released through Big3 next year.”

“We’re in the initial stages of writing the book, which is where you come in. On Friday December 16 at 8pm EST, I will be doing a live video chat on You can go to for details. We’re limiting this to a very few number of people. I’d like to know what topics you would like to see covered in the book. The chat will be a live video stream. I’ll be broadcasting from my home studio. When you log in, there will be a chat room where you can ask questions. I’ll answer as many of them as I can, live on the video screen.”

“Unfortunately Stage It doesn’t do free chats, so we’ve made it a ‘pay what you can’ deal, with a minimum of only $2. This covers the cost of the streaming video, etc. This isn’t about the money, this is about helping me write the very best book we can, with the topics you want to see addressed. And again, we’re limiting the number of tickets to only a hundred or so. If all goes well, I’m hoping to do more stuff on Stage It in 2012, so go ahead and get an account set up.”

“I hope you’ll join me on December 16 at 8pm EST,” wraps-up Sweet. “It only takes a few minutes to sign up for an account at Stage It. Reserve your spot now for this exclusive chat on the 16th. I’m really looking forward to catching up with everyone.”
