99 Crimes featuring Dangerous Toys guitarist Paul Lidel release video for “Coming Down Like Rain”
99 Crimes featuring ex-Dirty Looks and current Dangerous Toys guitarist Paul Lidel have released a video for their song “Coming Down Like Rain” from their debut self-titled EP, which can be purchased directly from Perris Records.
99 Crimes‘ “Story” on their Facebook page states (with slight edits): “99 Crimes is an original rock band based out of Austin, TX featuring Paul Lidel (lead vocals & guitars), Chris Jordan (drums ), and Jeff Lynn (bass guitar, vocals). Drawing from their varied experiences, they have forged a unique blend of audio styles and textures reminiscent of the early days of heavy rock. No glossy glam here, just adrenalized vocals, face melting guitar, and a rhythm section that registers on the richter scale!”
In an interview with Hair Band Heaven, Lidel advised how 99 Crimes got started as he stated (with slight edits): “In the past, I played in a band with our drummer Chris Jordan and when that band disolved in August of 2016, Chris and I got together with Jeff Lynn Whitehead our bass player and it was obvious that the three of us had a great chemestry going. We rehearsed for about 6 months before we played our first show. During that time we wrote many songs, some of which ended up on our EP, and we tightened up the live show. We played our first show in early 2017, so we’re still a pretty new band. So far, we’ve played 23 different songs live, and we’re continuing to write constantly.”
