AC/DC Accident Leaves Quadriplegic Blinded
March 2, 2010
A 31-year old quadriplegic has lost the sight in one of his eyes after a Brisbane accident at the AC/DC concert in Brisbane this year.
Terry Watson was catapulted into the crowd after his friend and minder accidently flicked the joystick on his wheelchair.
An investigation is now underway as to why the venue did not have a safety barrier to prevent accidents like this.
The wheelchair motor had been left on because Watson needed to move often because of his disability. The accident caused a metal pin to be impaled in his eye.
Watson has forgiven his friend.
