AC/DC “Rock The Blues Away” In Latest Video

AC/DC have released a video for the song “Rock The Blues Away,” the third video from their latest studio album ‘Rock Or Bust’. The video was shot in Los Angeles in February, immediately after the band delivered an explosive performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.
AC/DC’s North American leg of the ‘Rock Or Bust World Tour’ kicks off on August 22nd in Foxborough, Massachusetts and runs through September 28th in Los Angeles, California. Previously announced European dates of the ‘Rock Or Bust World Tour’ begin on May 5th in Holland and run through late July.
Returning to the AC/DC fold for these dates is drummer Chris Slade, who left the group back in 1994. He recently rejoined the Aussie legends for their performance at the 57th Grammy Awards on February 8th, replacing Phil Rudd, who is experiencing legal troubles in his adopted home of New Zealand. “This is an amazing opportunity for me, after all most people don’t ever get to play with their favourite band once, let alone TWICE,” proclaimed Slade prior to the Grammy performance. “I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support I have been shown personally, on the Facebook page and other social media, not one comment has gone unread and it has been very humbling. Thanks so much. We apologise for the secrecy, please understand this was for all the right reasons.”
‘Rock Or Bust’ represents the band’s first studio album in six years and follows the immensely successful ‘Black Ice’ album. ‘Rock Or Bust’ was recorded at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada and found AC/DC once again working with producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser.
The album shot to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, with Sleaze Roxx stating, “I think what is missing from AC/DC these days is the hunger that younger bands possess — and really, where is the desire to claw your way to the top when you’re already perched upon the mountain? Time moves on, but AC/DC seem content to remain a rotary dial telephone in an era of smart-phones. There is nothing wrong with that approach, because Rock Or Bust is probably only being used as a tool to promote their upcoming tour anyway. Having said that, I wonder how many of the songs contained here will become live staples in the future? Let’s face it, at this stage of their career AC/DC is pure nostalgia, but after years of shaking foundations the base is starting to show a few cracks.”
‘Rock Or Bust’ is the first AC/DC album in the band’s 41 year history without founding member Malcolm Young on the recordings. Last year AC/DC released a statement explaining that due to illness, Malcolm would be taking a break from the band. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm’s condition, he will not be returning. It was later revealed the rhythm guitarist suffers from dementia and would be replaced in the band by his nephew Stevie Young.
