Ace Frehley Announces First Leg Of U.S. Tour
September 23, 2014
Ace Frehley has announced the first leg of his U.S. tour dates in continued support of his recently released solo album ‘Space Invader’.
Joining Frehley on these tour dates will be Richie Scarlet, who rode shotgun performing rhythm guitar and vocal duties on Frehley’s ‘Trouble Walking’ platter in 1989, The Cult bassist Chris Wyse and former Brides Of Destruction bassist Scot Coogan.
“I can’t wait to hit the road again with this new line-up,” says the former KISS guitarist and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. “I’ll be performing Ace classics as well as songs off my new CD ‘Space Invader’ for the enjoyment of the fans. Let there be rock!”
In a recent review Sleaze Roxx said, “Space Invader is as entertaining and flawed as the man whose name graces the cover — and I mean that as a compliment. Ace Frehley has always marched to his own drum, often to the detriment of his own success, but it’s hard to deny that when he straps on a guitar magic happens. Take a journey and explore the galaxies with Space Invader — its one hell of an interesting ride.”
‘Space Invader’ debuted at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in its first week of release, scoing the highest charting position of any KISS solo album ever. The album also marks Frehley’s first return to the Top 10 since KISS’s 1998 ‘Pyscho Circus’ reunion album. A double gatefold 180 gram LP version of ‘Space Invader’ will be released on October 28th and will include a free MP3 version of the album.
