Alice Cooper releases video for song “The Sound Of A”

The legendary Alice Cooper has released a video for the song ‘The Sound Of A” which appears on his latest studio album Paranormal.

The following message was posted in part on Alice Cooper‘s Facebook page earlier yesterday:

“The song was written back in 1967, and was actually the first song Alice Cooper wrote entirely on his own. It was forgotten until Dennis Dunaway, the bass player of the original Alice Cooper band, rediscovered it and played it to Alice, after which the two of them updated the song and then recorded it for the “Paranormal” album.

‘The Sound Of A’ will be released on February 23rd as CD single and 10” white vinyl.”

Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Paranormal including the song “The Sound Of A”: “The album is closed off by “The Sound Of A” which is hypnotically soothing and has an epic type feel. Once again, there is a definite old school Alice Cooper vibe coming from this song with the rumbling bass being the driving force, backed up by some nice guitar melodies and serene vocals.”
