School’s Out was the album that put Alice Cooper over the top. The opening title track contains one of the all-time classic and instantly recognizable guitar licks in rock & roll history.
This is one of Alice Cooper’s most consistent albums. The album is a veritable greatest hits package including such classic tracks as “My Stars”, “Luney Tune” and “Alma Mater”.
“School’s Out” became Alice Cooper’s first major hit single, and propelled the album to #2 on the Billboard 200. The song reached #1 on the UK singles chart for three weeks in August 1972.
Many music styles are incorporated:cool jazz, space rock, hard rock, and broadway show tunes.
School’s Out has remained a staple song in Alice Cooper’s live setlist and receives regular airplay on many “Classic Rock” radio stations. Mastered for this CD by Steve Hoffman.
