Angels In Vein singer Chris VanDahl explains guitarist Stacey Blades’ departure from band
Speaking exclusively to Sleaze Roxx, Angels In Vein frontman Chris VanDahl confirmed that guitarist Stacey Blades has indeed left the band.
VanDahl explained the situation as follows: “Stacey actually left a while back. We didn’t say anything because we wanted to give him the opportunity first. He actually posted about it this past week. His main reason in a nutshell is that things weren’t moving fast enough for him. To be fair, it’s been nearly impossible with everybody’s touring and recording schedules to get us all in the same room. That being said, this thing has never been about speed. It’s about writing great songs. Which is why he asked to join in the first place. The latest single “Ready To Roll” which officially dropped about two weeks ago is doing really well and the band is now working directly with iTunes preparing for a major launch. So, on our end things are definitely moving forward! Stacey is a great guy and a friend and I’m sure he’ll continue to do well with his own thing but this in no way changes things with the band.”
Angels In Vein first announced themselves via social media at the end of May 2016. They have seen released four songs to date (“No One Gets Out Alive,” “1973,” “Trip Of A Lifetime” and “Ready To Roll”) and videos for two different songs (“1973” and “Trip Of A Lifetime”).
