Aviator Shades elect to call it a day
Sad news as Western Canadian rockers Aviator Shades consisting of lead vocalist and bassist Dave Gorman, guitarists George Baker and Daniel James, and drummer Spencer Tomlinson have decided to call it a day. Each band member is reportedly playing in a different project.
The following message was posted on Aviator Shades‘ Facebook page earlier today:
“Well Folks, it has been a while!
We are posting today to announce something a lot of you might already know, and address a question that seems to come up a lot lately about the status of Aviator Shades. We have indeed decided to call it a day and bring down the curtain on what was an incredible ride across this awesome country so many times.
There are so many people to thank, that if we did, this post would just turn into a long list of names. So thank you to our Producers, Promoters, Management, all the awesome bands that we played with, incredible people and now our buds.
All our friends at radio across Canada that opened their doors and let us in and play our music.
Our families and girlfriends over the course of this adventure who offered nothing but endless support and encouraged us to do what we love, unquestionably.
The biggest shout out goes to everyone of you who liked our pages, shared our posts, went to our shows, told your friends about us, bought a CD, T-Shirt or poster or streaming our songs on any platform. Thank you for believing we could. None of our adventures as a band would have been worth while without you all.
Each of us are playing in different projects now, so be sure to come check out our new bands and keep the spirit of Rock N Roll alive and well!
