Axl Rose wears foot cast during Guns N’ Roses’ first ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour show

Guns N’ Roses took the stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA apparently within two minutes of breaching a reported two hour penalty clause for a late start in their contract.

The day of the show, Guns N’ Roses posted a video from singer Axl Rose‘s treating orthopaedic surgeon who explained that Rose had fractured a bone in his left foot and the open reduction internal fixation surgical procedure that ensued. Rose had taken to Twitter that day to explain what happened: “This is what can happen when you do something you haven’t done in nearly over 23 years,”Internal Fixation”…”

Despite Rose‘s surgery and left foot being placed in what appears to be a rather big cast, Guns N’ Roses did not cancel or postpone the debut show from their “Not In This Lifetime’ tour. Rather, a special chair complete with lights around it was used for Rose to sit in so that he could perform seated at the show.
