Babylon Shakes sign with HighVolMusic

HighVolMusic announced at the Sleazy Slimey Sunday 3 held at the Cancun Cantina in Hanover, Maryland, USA and hosted by Brad Lee Entertainment on May 6, 2018 that two bands had been signed to the record label including North Carolina retro ’70s rockers, Babylon Shakes.

The Babylon Shakes band members — lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Clark, bassist Gary Jordan and drummer Jeff “Morty” Mortimer — were interviewed by Sleaze Roxx three days prior but refused at that time to spill the beans on their big announcement.

The following is an excerpt from the interview in that regard:

Sleaze Roxx: You’re not going to tell me? Speaking of that, Chris had told me that he had a special announcement that he promised me…

Chris Clark: [Laughs]

Sleaze Roxx: [Laughs] … that he would tell me for this interview instead of Sunday if I remember well.

Chris Clark: [Laughs] Oh no!

Sleaze Roxx: Just joking.

Everyone: [Laughs]

Sleaze Roxx: [Laughs] Can I pry it out of you?

Chris Clark: I’ll tell you at S3 [Sleazy Slimey Sunday 3 which will take place later today at the Cancun Cantina in Hanover, Maryland, USA]. At S3 [laughs].

Jeff “Morty” Mortimer: For now, it’s just going to have to be a little but mysterious right now.

Other bands signed to the label HighVolMusic include Billy Morris, Cage & Focx, DC4, Every Mother’s Nightmare, Newmachine, Rabid Assassin and Snake Eyes Seven.
