Bassist Arturo Knight announces his departure from Jessikill

Jessikill featuring powerhouse lead vocalist Jessica Espinoza are experiencing some major line-up changes. First, it was lead guitarist Jyro Alejo that announced his departure from the band back in mid-April 2023, likely in large part to his marriage with Espinoza seemingly breaking down. It’s now the turn of Jessikill‘s long-time bassist Arturo Knight to announce his departure from the group.

The following message was posted on Knight‘s Facebook page on August 25, 2023:

“Hi! I would like to announce my departure from Jessikill. It’s been a strong 10 years of heavy metal! I truly had the time of my life. I will be announcing a new original project very soon πŸ˜‰ ALSO Catch me on tour this year with World Famous Minikiss πŸ”₯

Sept 23 – Club Gold – Baltimore, MD
Sept 28 & 29 – Arizona State Fair – Phoenix, AZ
Oct 28 – Fountain Plaza at Avidxchange – Charlotte, NC
Oct 29 – The Courtyard KISS Afterparty- Austin, TX
Nov 30 – Hard Rock Broadway KISS Afterparty – New York, NY
Mar 2024 – Tammy’s Pontoon Cruise with Chelcie Lynn”

Interestingly, Knight‘s announcement came one day after presumably Espinoza declared via Facebook that Jessikill would be unable to fulfill their commitment to play at Rocklahoma due to an unidentified band member’s unavailability.:

“Important announcement! It pains me to say this. Unfortunately, our band will not be playing Rocklahoma this year. One of our musicians was not going to be able to make it. Lesson learned. I should always be prepared with a back up musician that can play my original songs in case of such an emergency. As I said, it pains me to say this, I know some people planned trips to go watch the show. I still recommend going, it’s going to be a hell of a show! My sincerest regrets. I wish I could have done it. I always believe the show must go on! So I’ll see you at my next performance. Stay tuned.
