Bassist Timothy Gaines reaffirms that he has not quit Stryper
Stryper bassist Timothy Gaines has reaffirmed via his Facebook account that he has not quit the band but he didn’t comment on whether he will be playing on the group’s upcoming new studio album.

The following message was posted on Gaines‘ Facebook account less than an hour ago:
“And the drama continues… Everyone’s a judge & jury, but NOBODY has the flippin’story. NO, I HAVE NOT QUIT STRYPER. I’m amazed at all of the false info & hate gossip being spewed out of the fingertips of “brown nosers,” and even people I thought had my back for over 30 years? Hide behind your keyboard much? Now back to the music….”
Back in early December 2016, Gaines had already announced that he was not leaving Stryper. This was just after Stryper frontman Michael Sweet had done an interview with Nick at WSOU where he advised that it was probable that the group would be doing its next studio album without Gaines.
The question of whether Gaines will be taking part with Stryper‘s next studio album was raised once again when the bassist’s new wife Brandee Gaines announced on Facebook that Stryper would not be including Gaines on the new album.
Stryper have apparently yet to confirm or deny whether Gaines will be taking part with their upcoming new studio album, which is scheduled to be recorded in October 2017 as indicated by a message posted by Stryper yesterday via Facebook:
“We’re recording a new album in October and touring extensively throughout 2018. It’s going to be the best album/tour yet! Are you ready? We are?”
