Black Crowes Confirm New Members
BLACK CROWES CONFIRM NEW MEMBERS:
December 4, 2007
Rockers The Black Crowes have confirmed Luther Dickinson and Adam MacDougall as their new guitarist and keyboardist respectively. North Mississippi Allstars star Dickinson joined The Black Crowes in the studio in the summer, to help record the band’s first new album in seven years, “Warpaint.”
And now Dickinson has been announced as the permanent replacement for guitarist Marc Ford, who quit the band in September, 2006. Multi-instrumentalist Paul Stacey, who produced “Warpaint,” had filled in for Ford as a touring member of the group during the interim.
It is unclear whether Dickinson’s joining The Black Crowes will affect the North Mississippi Allstars, who have their own new record, “Hernando,” out next month.
MacDougall also plays on “Warpaint” and has been touring with The Black Crowes since the summer. “Warpaint” is set to be released on the band’s own label, Silver Arrow, in March.
