Black Water Rising Signs European Deal With Metalville Records
January 25, 2011
New York hard rockers Black Water Rising are finally making their way across the pond. German record label Metalville Records is pleased to announce the signing of BWR for Europe. Their self-titled debut album will be released on April 22 in Europe.
Label head Holger Koch had the following to say about Black Water Rising signing to Metalville: “After a great year in 2010 we are looking forward to a successful 2011. We are in the lucky situation that we can release music we really like – from musicians we really like. We are very happy that Black Water Rising believes in Metalville. This band has a great talent of songwriting which they turned into an album of high class songs. We are expecting a strong spring for Metalville and it is truly a gift to release great music from great artists.”
Black Water Rising is a collection of soul baring, angst ridden, riff heavy material that is proudly anchored in the foundations of traditional hard rock song writing. Its giant guitar driven monster riffs are served up on a bed of crushing grooves with soaring melodic vocals and big hooks. Basically, NO FRILLS RIFF ROCK!
Lyrically, the message is socially and politically driven by the dark times we live in. With darkness seemingly growing by the day, Black Water Rising is a name that fits this band like a glove.
Black Water Rising is:
Rob Traynor – Vocals, Guitar
Johnny Fattoruso – Guitar
Mike Meselsohn – Drums
Oddie McLaughlin – Bass
Black Water Rising’S self-titled debut release is available now in North Amreica on Giddy Up! Records. Giddy Up! Records is a brand new label with distribution through Sony/RED. The album artwork was designed by “Mister Sam” aka Sam Shearon, the renowned artist from England who hasdone work for Rob Zombie, Godhead and ESP guitars.
