Blastzone Entertainment to release vinyl albums from Alien, Bang Tango and Bride
Blastzone Entertainment is scheduled to release the following five classic albums on vinyl: Alien‘s Eternity, Bang Tango‘s Pistol Whipped in The Bible Belt and Bride‘s Show No Mercy, Live To Die and Silence Is Madness.
Speaking exclusively with Sleaze Roxx, Blastzone Entertainment’s owner Mike Wilkerson explained the history of his company and how the vinyl releases work: “I started Blastzone Entertainment in 2005 we did a lot of stuff including Rocklahoma 2008 and 2009. We decided to quit in 2009 and now in 2015 we are starting up again as a vinyl only record label powered by crowd funding. We are using IndieGoGo for our crowd funding. We need to reach $2,500.00 for the vinyl to be pressed. We have exclusive perks for every release including limited edition trading cards, limited edition t-shirts and test pressings of the projects. We also have perks directly from the bands/artists themselves.”
Wilkerson went on to add: “We are targeting all types of music from re-releases to brand new stuff in all genres of music. I can’t really talk about the other releases as of yet except next one will be Jenna Syde and the Watchers going to crowd funding later this weekend. We are looking for PR, A&R, Graphic Artist, Social Media people, people well known with crowd funding and Indie GoGo, and people wanting to work in the industry.” Blastzone Entertainment can be contacted via blastzoneentertainment@yahoo.com.
Alien’s Eternity:
Alien are a Swedish rock and metal band formed in Gothenburg in 1986 by guitarist Tony Borg and vocalist Jim Jidhed. They are best known today for their single “Only One Woman”, a cover of a Marbles song, and “Brave New Love”, which was featured in the end credits of the 1988 remake of The Blob.
Alien have reunited with the complete and original line up. They toured in 2010 for the first time since 1989 at Monsters of Rock in Eskilstuna, Sweden, and released their first new single “Ready to Fly” in October 2010.
This is the first time Alien‘s Eternity has been released on vinyl. The original recordings of the 10 songs has been kept. There will only be 750 copies available on Red color vinyl.

Bang Tango’s Pistol Whipped In The Bible Belt:
Bang Tango were often lumped in with the whole ’80s glam metal movement perhaps due to their pretty boy looks and the fact that they hailed from Los Angeles. The hard rocking quintet was one of a few L.A. glam groups to incorporate funk into its sound around the same time as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More made it acceptable to do so. Their line up consisted of Joe Lesté (vocals), Kyle Stevens (guitar), Mark Knight (guitar), Kyle Kyle (bass), and Tigg Ketler (drums), and piqued the interest of Mechanic/MCA shortly after the quintet issued their first in-concert recordings, 1987’s Live Injection.
Their major label debut, Psycho Cafe, was issued in 1989. MTV’s Headbangers Ball gave significant air time to their single “Someone Like You” and eventually it became a mainstay on the dial MTV charts. The group continued to issue albums throughout the early 1990s including Dancin’ On Coals, Ain’t No Jive… Live! and the critically acclaimed Love After Death.
In 2000, Lesté formed a more modern sounding alt-metal outfit, Beautiful Creatures, issuing a self-titled debut the same year on Warner Brothers. Beautiful Creatures toured as part of the 2001 Ozzfest as well as supporting KISS on a number of dates. Bang Tango have since produced three studio albums this decade: Ready To Go (2004), From The Hip (2006), and the latest release Pistol Whipped in the Bible Belt (2011).
This is the first time Bang Tango‘s Pistol Whipped In The Bible Belt has been released on vinyl. The original recordings of the 10 songs has been kept but the cover has changed. There will only be 500 copies available on mixed color vinyl. If you buy more then one copy, you are guaranteed different colors of vinyl.

Bride’s Silence Is Madness:
Bride are one of the first Christian metal bands to be recognized in their genre of music. Bride existed for over 30 years and won four Dove awards which are the equivalent of a Grammy. The release Silence Is Madness is long out of print and is being repressed by Blastzone Entertainment for the first time in 30 some years. Silence Is Madness will be released with 12 songs including the demos “Dirty”, “Good Rock ‘N’ Roll” and “Help”. There will only be 500 copies pressed on mixed vinyl. Blastzone Entertainment has the rights to release the entire Bride catalog on vinyl over the next two years.
Silence Is Madness is the third album by the American heavy metal band Bride, which was released in 1989. This was the last album in the band’s metal era, as the band began writing more commercial hard rock on the following releases. On Silence Is Madness, Bride also tried to achieve crossover success to the secular market.

Bride’s Show No Mercy:
Bride‘s Show No Mercy is also long out of print and is being repressed by Blastzone Entertainment for the first time in 30 some years. Show No Mercy will be released with 11 songs including the demo “Missing Children.” There will only be 500 copies pressed on mixed vinyl.
Show No Mercy is Bride‘s debut album on the label Pure Metal Records. Less commercial than Bride‘s later works, the album received a mixed reception in its time, as it was somewhat more extreme and darker than many Christian releases coming out at the time.
The band line-up for the Show No Mercy album was: Dale Thompson (vocals), Steve Osborne (lead guitar), Troy Thompson (guitar, keyboards, violin), Scott Hall (bass) and Stephan Rolland (drums).

Bride’s Live To Die:
Bride‘s Live To Die is also long out of print and is being repressed by Blastzone Entertainment for the first time in 30 some years. Live To Die will be released with 12 songs including the three demos “Who Killed The Rock Hero”, “He’s The Flyer” and “Heroes”. There will only be 500 copies pressed on mixed vinyl.
Live to Die is the second album by the American heavy metal band. It is the band’s second album to be released on the label Pure Metal Records in 1988. Live to Die is considered by critics to be the band’s finest release in its metal era. Songs such as “Hell No” and “Heroes” have become Christian metal anthems and were popular songs in the band’s concerts.
