Bobby Blotzer provides platinum record gifts to band members in his version of Ratt
For the time being, there appears to be two versions of Ratt as drummer Bobby Blotzer forges ahead with his version of Ratt which currently all includes singer Josh Alan, bassist Brad May and guitarists Stacey Blades and Mitch Perry.
Fresh off a motion win by Juan Croucier over Blotzer at the United States District Court in C.D. California on November 8, 2016, singer Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and Croucier have been announced as Ratt and the official headliner of the M3 Rock Festival that will take place in Columbia, Maryland, USA on April 27 and 28, 2017. In addition, the trio now have their own Ratt website.
Blozter‘s version of Ratt posted a photo today on Facebook of his bandmates with two other people posing with platinum albums that include a photo of Ratt‘s Out Of The Cellar album, which was released back in 1984. None of the recipient of the platinum records have played on the iconic Out Of The Cellar album, which was voted #3 on Sleaze Roxx‘s survey of Top 12 Albums that Have Stayed With Sleaze Roxx Readers that was posted earlier this year.
At first, the aforementioned photo with the platinum records was posted on the Facebook page of Blotzer‘s version of Ratt with no explanation but about 11 hours later, the following message was added/edited to the Facebook post:
“Via Bobby Blotzer: The gift of the platinum records to the guys is a simple gesture of appreciation for their contribution to the RATT music while on tour for 70 dates. They’ve stayed professional and kept the integrity of the music. I love them and they deserve this.
A cool photo from tonight in Spokane, WA. Bobby gave the guys Platninum Albums for Christmas! What a cool gift! #RATTnRoll”
