Bret Michaels’ ‘Custom Built’ Enters #14 On Billboard Charts

Bret Michaels’ independent album Custom Built roars onto the Billboard Top 200 charts this week at #14 — topping Poison’s last album which debuted at #17 — and proving that an independent artist and underdog can succeed alongside industry favorites. Custom Built also charted at #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Album Chart, #1 on the Billboard Independent Album Chart and #4 on the Billboard Rock Album Chart.

Showcasing Michaels’ diversity as a singer and songwriter, the album contains tracks such as “Nothing to Lose” featuring Miley Cyrus; “Go That Far,” a club remix of the theme from Michaels’ record-breaking reality show Rock of Love; and “What I Got,” a remake of the popular Sublime song which features a new verse added by Michaels, who has been performing the song live for enthusiastic fans all summer.

In addition to his album’s debut onto the Billboard Top 200 charts, Michaels was also honored by the American Diabetes Association with its prestigious Chair’s Citation Award.
