Bret Michaels’ Staff And Band Prepare Emergency Tour Measures

May 11, 2010

Bret Michaels’ band mates are refusing to take any risks with the rocker’s health when he resumes his solo tour – they are ensuring all staff are aware of the closest hospitals in case of an emergency.

The Poison singer is currently recuperating in a rehabilitation center in Arizona after suffering a near-fatal brain hemorrhage last month, just weeks after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. Michaels is expected to make a full recovery – but his backing band is taking extra precautions to make sure the star is properly taken care of in the event he suffers another health setback while on the road.

A source tells TMZ.com, “Someone in the crew will be required to provide the bus drivers with a list of every hospital from current location to next location… addresses and all… so in the event of an emergency, they have the info readily available.”

Michaels is aiming to be back on tour later this month – and he is already making plans for next year, tentatively scheduling a trek with his Poison pals to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

Poison drummer Rikki Rockett recently said, “We have every intention of doing a 25th anniversary next summer and – you know, I really strongly believe he’s going to make it, and that’s what we’re going to be doing next year. We’re going to keep on working.”
