Brighton Rock Reunite For KISS Tribute Album
June 10, 2013
Canadian rockers Brighton Rock have just completed their first studio track in over 21 years.
The newly reformed Brighton Rock, with all five original members, are taking part in the upcoming KISS tribute record ‘A World With Heroes: A KISS Tribute For Cancer Care’ by recording the track “Creatures In The Night”. The band will be shooting a video for the cover song on June 15th at a ‘secret’ location in Ontario, Canada. The song and details on the 2 disc tribute album ‘A World With Heroes’, featuring such artsists as L.A. Guns, Burning Rain, American Dog, Don Dokken, Ron Keel, Killer Dwarfs’ Russ Dwarf, Little Caesar’s Ron Young, Accept’s Mark Tornillo and many more, can be found at www.pledgemusic.com/projects/kiss40thtribute.
Brighton Rock — consisting of Gerry McGhee (vocals), Mark Cavarzan (drums), Stevie Skreebs (bass), Greg Fraser (guitar) and Johnny Rogers (keyboards and guitar) — are also in the process of recording a new full-length original record and are hoping to have it released in early 2014.
The band’s 1988 album ‘Take A Deep Breath’ will be re-issued on iTunes on July 1, 2013 and will include two rare bonus tracks: “Alabama Slamma (Young At Heart)”, previously only available on the German 12″ single of “One More Try”, and Brighton Rock’s version of “White Xmas”. A CD version of ‘Take A Deep Breath’ is scheduled to be released in 2014
Brighton Rock will also be back in the UK this October when they play at Firefest 10. For all Brighton Rock updates you can check out www.brightonrock.ca and www.facebook.com/groups/BrightonRock.
