Rockers Buckcherry will release “Our World,” a track from their newly-completed forthcoming album, ALL NIGHT LONG on their website at www.buckcherry.com as their offering of support for the victims of the Gulf oil tragedy. The song, which was originally written as an anthemic cry out to help right the social, environmental, economic and other wrongs of this world, represents the band’s commitment to expose the BP disaster and to bring awareness and support to the crisis and its victims — human and animal. The band will also offer links on their website to helpful organizations allowing fans to connect to provide financial and other support.
Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd commented, “As musicians who have the benefit of the spotlight from time to time, we feel it is our duty to aid in raising awareness and financial support to help remedy the awful situation in the Gulf Of Mexico. It is so important that each and every one of us do what we can to help those out whose lives have been harshly impacted by the oil spill.”
Buckcherry’s new album, ALL NIGHT LONG is set for an August 3rd release via original independent label, Eleven Seven Music. The title track has been called “The top down anthem” by BILLBOARD. In their more than decade-long career, multi-platinum artists Buckcherry have established themselves as a definitive hard rock band with a massive presence at radio. Hits such as “Lit Up,” “Crazy Bitch,” and “Sorry” have propelled the band’s sales to more than 3 million albums worldwide and have garnered Buckcherry two Grammy nominations. Their most recent album, 2008’s BLACK BUTTERFLY, earned the band their first-ever Top Ten Billboard album debut, with the album coming in at #8. BLACK BUTTERFLY was deemed the “Album Of The Year” by Entertainment Weekly and “Best Rock Album” by iTunes.
