CHRIS LANEY BEGINS WORK ON SOLO CD WITH BRUCE KULICK AND CONNY BLOOM

Chris Laney of Zan Clan and Randy Piper’s Animal is hiding away in the dungeons of Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. He is set on writing-mode for solo album number 2 which is planned to be released in the spring of 2010.

So far a few killer tracks have been written. Just as on his debut solo album ‘Pure’, he has invited a few friends over to Polar Studios. Just as last time, one song is co-written with Bruce Kulick (KISS, Union, Grand Funk etc). Another song is co-written with guitarist Conny Bloom (Hanoi Rocks, Electric Boys). Some other friends are on the way to Sweden to meet with Chris Laney in his song writer dungeon. In a few days a guitarist from Los Angeles will land in Stockholm.

Chris Laney first mentioned working on his new solo album in a Sleaze Roxx interview (viewable here) where he stated, “I just write from my heart. Some of the stuff I have written is more ‘Arena’, bigger in some ways and some might call it popier, but for me it’s good music. There will be a few Zan Clan sound-a-likes, but hell, that was me writing those tracks too (laughs)! Well, as I said, it will be kick ass rock n roll, not nuclear science, just rawk.”
