So what if headliner Michael Schenker canceled at the last moment? Chicago’s own Enuff Z’nuff, who was set to be the opening act, decided the show must go on so they performed two long sets and the fans got to inhale all those fun loving pop-rockin’ songs. The band is now a three piece with Chip Z’nuff on bass and backing vocals, Randi Scott on drums, and Johnny Monaco handling the vocals and lead guitar.
The band was right on target and performed “Kiss the Clown”, “Little Indian Angel” and “Fly High Michelle.” Johnny does a tremendous job on lead vocals and showed-off all night with nifty guitar riffs especially flashing it up when he started the song “Baby Loves You.” Chip introduced the song “There Goes My Heart Again” as “the song that should have been a huge hit”, and one has to agree, as the chorus is totally contagious. The band threw in some covers like “Ain’t That A Shame” and then ended the night with their chart-topping “New Thing.”
The band is currently on tour so check them out.
Some bands come and go, but bands like Enuff Z’nuff you can simply never get enough of.
