There was an opening band but it was a two hour ride from Orlando to go see this show so I missed them. Getting onto Bang Tango, they went on and the sound was great. Joe Leste‘s voice was almost perfect that night. They did all the songs you would want to hear from the past along with some from their newest CD From The Hip. They have a new guitar player who I think is unbelievable, his name is Michael Thomas and I have to say his playing is awesome. He played the early songs as good or better then the original guitar player for Bang Tango. I spoke to him after the show and he has played on recent tours for bands such as Faster Pussycat, Pretty Boy Floyd, BulletBoys and more. We talked about him being the only 80-90’s guitar player out there since he has been with so many bands on their recent tours. The guys were all great, they came out into the crowd to hang out and watch House Of Lords.

So lets get to House Of Lords. They went on and I could not believe how well they sounded. My brother and I were like, “is this a recording?” But NO, James Christian‘s voice was perfect, as a matter of fact I think he sounded better live then on the CD. They stared the show with “Sahara” off of the CD of the same name and moved on through with old and new songs, everything sounded great. They did quite a few songs from the new CD World Upside Down, a great record if you like 80-90 melodic rock, it is a powerful CD. Jimi Bell is the guitarist and he was on fire, a left handed player that just flat-out tore it up on stage. The band played for about an hour and a half and then did a meet and great after the show.

All in all it was a great show and if they come near your area you should go see them. I had a two hour ride in each direction and felt it was well worth the trip. They won’t disappoint.
