Crashdïet unveil video for remixed and remastered track “Sick Mind” from ‘Generation Wild’ era

Swedish rockers Crashdïet have unveiled a video for their remixed and remastered track “Sick Mind”, which was first released as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of their third full-length studio album Generation Wild (2010). The line-up for Generation Wild consisted of Simon Cruz on lead vocals, Martin Sweet on lead guitar, Peter London on bass and Eric Young on drums. Generation Wild has been recently reissued via Crashdïet‘s own record label Dïet Records with “Sick Mind” available as a bonus track on CD and cassette, and “Caught In Despair” being the bonus track for the vinyl reissue.

Generation Wild finished at #1 on the Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of 2010 and #2 on the Sleaze Roxx Readers’ Top 20 Albums of 2010. Sleaze Roxx also ranked Generation Wild at #3 on the Sleaze Roxx’s Top 12 Albums of The Decade (2010-2019) and noted:

“I had previously mentioned that I had “consulted” with four other people to come up with the Sleaze Roxx’s Top 12 Albums of The Decade (2010-2019). There was only one album that made everyone’s list and that’s Crashdïet‘s third full-length album Generation Wild. Crashdïet have really had an incredible history as they have been able to deliver some of the greatest albums of the last 15 years with four different lead vocalists. By the time that Crashdïet released Generation Wild in 2010, they were on singer #3 with Simon Cruz getting the nod. This was after original lead vocalist and band founder Dave Lepard — who appeared on the debut full-length album Rest In Sleaze — sadly took his own life in 2006 and the failed experiment with Reckless Love singer Olli Herman (who was going under the name Olliver Twisted) who handled the lead vocals on 2008’s The Unattractive Revolution.

Interestingly enough, Crashdïet were the closest to score a second album in the Sleaze Roxx’s Top 12 Albums of The Decade as Rust with new singer Gabriel Keyes is also a phenomenal record. Nevertheless, it’s Generation Wild that makes the cut and I hope that one day, we’ll get to see former lead vocalist Simon Cruz resurface in the public limelight and get the full credit he deserves for stepping into a very difficult situation and delivering an amazing album with his new bandmates.”
