Def Leppard announce North America tour with Tesla and REO Speedwagon
Def Leppard, who recently landed the number one album on Sleaze Roxx Readers’ Top 20 Albums of 2015, have announced a 55 city tour of North America with REO Speedwagon and Tesla.
Def Leppard have sold over 100 million records and have two albums (1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria) that achieved RIAA Diamond Certification.
2016 marks the 30th year anniversary of the release Tesla’s debut album Mechanical Resonance, which features songs such as “Little Suzi”, “Cumin’ Atcha Live” and “Modern Day Cowboy”.
REO Speedwagon, although known for their ’80s power ballads, were a force in the ’70s with their brand of rock. The band has sold more than 40 million records and has charted thirteen Top 40 hits, including the number ones “Keep On Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”
Def Leppard had a very successful tour last summer in North America with Tesla and Styx as opening bands. Sleaze Roxx attended the Toronto tour stop on July 14, 2015 and stated the following in its concert review: “Overall, Def Leppard turned back the clock on this night about twenty seven years and delivered exactly what the crowd wanted to hear!”
