Dellacoma start Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to record sophomore studio album
Aussie rockers Dellacoma featuring frontman Dellacoma Rio have started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to help with the recording costs of their sophomore album. The Kickstarter project is an “all or nothing” one, which will only be funded if it reaches its goal of CA $8,591.00 by Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 8:55 pm EST.
The Kickstarter campaign indicates:
Following the release of the debut album “South Of Everything” in 2015, Dellacoma toured extensively across the USA, UK and Europe.
In 2019 after several lineup changes, lead singer and namesake, Dellacoma Rio took the bold step of taking a year off the road with his band to focus on writing and recording the songs that would become the second full length album. Together with guitarist / songwriter / producer and dear friend, Voya (Bad Moon Born, Catalano), Rio has been hard at work carefully crafting and concocting the follow up to his 2015 debut album.
The highly decorated Noel Tenny (White Widdow, Australian INXS Show) has jumped on board to record drums on the album, while Voya will be handling guitar and keyboard duties in the studio. This record will also feature several of Rio‘s long time pals as guests in the studio on selected tracks.
Production is set to wrap up in 2020 with pre-release copies of the album to be sent out in September 2020 and official public release of the album slated for late 2020/early 2021.
Risks and challenges
Recording can be a very expensive process so gathering all the funds to properly record is my main challenge here.”
