Diemonds perform with Killer Dwarfs guitarist Gerry Finn instead of long-time guitarist C.C. Diemond
Until yesterday evening, it had been more than 16 months since Diemonds performed a live show and the band had gone through a lot of ups and downs during that time span. With guitarist Daniel Dekay not playing on Diemonds‘ self-titled album released back in August 2018 and guitarist C.C. Diemond seemingly out of the picture since the release of that record, there were questions surrounding who actually was in Diemonds‘ line-up.
Back on October 13, 2017, Diemonds headlined the Women Who Rock event at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The line-up at that time consisted on frontwoman Priya Panda, guitarists C.C. Diemond and Daniel Dekay, bassist Tyrone Buccione and drummer Kyle Lecourt.
On February 23, 2019, Diemonds performed at the Monsters of Rock Cruise Pre-Party #2 at the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida, USA. The group had posted a short video and some photos leading up to the gig of Panda, Dekay, Buccione and Lecourt practicing but with C.C. Diemond nowhere to be seen. Diemonds had a rather well known “second” guitarist for their MORC Pre-Party #2 gig as none other than Killer Dwarfs guitarist Gerry Finn handled the guitar duties along with Diemonds / new Exciter guitarist Daniel Dekay.

It is believed that this is the first time that Diemonds perform live without C.C. Diemond in the line-up or at least in the last 12 years or so. The guitarist has played on all four of the band’s releases — In The Rough (2008), The Bad Pack (2011), Never Wanna Die (2015) and Diemonds (2018).
