Dirtbag Republic’s new album ‘Tear Down Your Idols’ finished and slated for release in fall

Canadian rockers Dirtbag Republic consisting of lead vocalist Sandy Hyde, lead guitarist Mick Wood, guitarist / bassist Mike Federici and drummer Ed Nijjer have finished their new studio album Tear Down Your Idols, which is slated to be released in the fall of 2020.

The following message was posted on Dirtbag Republic‘s Facebook page about one hour ago (with slight edits):

“Hi all,

Thought we’d post something positive with all insanity going on right now. Hopefully everyone stays safe and we can all knock this thing on it’s ass by taking a pause over the next month…or however long “experts” recommend.

We are pleased to announce after 2 years of demoing/recording/mixing…. our new album “Tear Down Your Idols” was finished last week. Our album was mastered at HBomb Mastering by Harry Hess (Billy Talent, Harem Scarem, Monster Truck, etc.) and it absolutely kicks ass. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. It was fun to work with new people on the mixing/mastering side which we feel brought us up another level production wise. Our goal from the start was to just write kick ass songs with personal thoughts, reflections and just some fictional musings and we think you guys/gals are going to love it.

Our goal is to have the album out in the fall, but we’ll see how this whole COVID-19 gong show pans out, as it may cause some delays with getting videos done etc. I’ve (Sandy) got many friends I’ve met on tour in Europe and have met online and I personally want to wish everyone safe travels through this bizarre timeline we’re going through. We are shooting to play our first live shows by July, and hope to keep that goal in place, but again we’ll see how this thing plays out.

Everybody stay safe, call out assholes not being good citizens and lets get back to normalcy soon.
