Dirty Skirty frontman reveals having win against ex-Top 10 tennis player Mardy Fish when they were kids
Many people might not know that Dirty Skirty frontman Luke Stephens works as a teaching tennis professional for a living and was a very good tennis player growing up. Dirty Skirty released the albums Long Live Rock N’ Roll (2010), which landed the #6 spot on Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of 2010, and Rebel (2014). Stephens is also not scared to poke fun at himself.
The singer saw a poster advertising a new tennis professional by the name of Adrian Bohane that stated:

Adrian was born in Ireland– as a junior he was ranked top 15 nationally and went on to play for “THE” Ohio State University. Adrian went on to play on the ATP Tour 2002-2008, attaining world rankings in both singles & doubles.
Career wins over Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish.
Adrian has been working locally and we are very fortunate that he has chosen a new home here in Jupiter Bay! Welcome Adrian!!”
In response, Stephens posted the following message on his Facebook account on February 20, 2021:

Luke went to Ireland on his honeymoon – as junior player he was ranked in the top 15 in the state of Florida and went on to play AT “THE” Ohio State University. Luke played in rock bands on tour 2002-2008, attaining many fans at both drums and vocals.
For those who don’t follow tennis, Wikipedia states the following in part about Roddick’s tennis career (with slight edits):
“Andrew Stephen Roddick (born August 30, 1982) is an American former world No. 1 professional tennis player.
Roddick became world No. 1 shortly after he won the title at the 2003 US Open, defeating French Open champion Juan Carlos Ferrero in the final. Despite several more years as one of the world’s best players, the 2003 US Open title would remain his only Grand Slam triumph. He is the most recent North American male player to win a Grand Slam singles event, the most recent to reach the top ranking, and the most recent to claim the year-end world No. 1 ranking (which he achieved in 2003). “Mardy Simpson Fish (born December 9, 1981) is a former American professional tennis player. He was a hard court specialist. He is one of several American tennis players who rose to prominence in the early 2000s.
Fish won six tournaments on the main ATP Tour and reached the final of four Masters Series events: Cincinnati in 2003 and 2010, Indian Wells in 2008, and Montreal in 2011. His best results at Grand Slam tournaments are reaching the quarterfinals of the 2007 Australian Open, the 2008 US Open, and the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. At the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, Fish reached the final in the men’s singles, losing to Nicolás Massú.
In April 2011, Fish overtook compatriot Andy Roddick to become the American No. 1 in the ATP rankings, reaching a career-high singles ranking of world No. 7 in August 2011. He then played in the year-end tournament for the only time in his career.
