The Dead Daisies continue with their revolving door of musicians as drummer Deen Castronovo is bowing out just as the group released its latest album Holy Ground one day ago (on January 22, 2021). Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne) will be handling the drums for The Dead Daisies once they start touring in support of their new record.

The following message was posted on Castronovo‘s Facebook page earlier today:

“Hi All!

As some of you may have heard, I have officially left The Dead Daisies. My decision to leave was not an easy one as I have great respect for my former band members and a tremendous amount of love and appreciation for all the fans who supported us. This decision will ultimately give me time to spend with my family after touring extensively and schedule a minor back surgery to ensure that I am able get back on the road playing music and doing what I love! Rest assured I will be back and playing soon! I love you all. Stay healthy, stay safe and look for great things to come in the future!

Stay tuned!

Back in early November 2017, The Dead Daisies announced that drummer Brian Tichy was being replaced with ex-Journey and current Revolution Saints drummer Deen Castronovo. The latter ended up playing on The Dead Daisies‘ studio albums Burn It Down (2018) and Holy Ground (2021).
