Electric Boys Post Medley From Upcoming CD

January 21, 2010

The recently reunited Electric Boys have posted a medley of songs that will appear on their upcoming, and currently untitled, CD which is slated for a March release.

The band states, “So we got together for the first time in what, 17 years?? These are the first tracks that we demoed at our friend Damon’s place, Future Legends Studios. It’s a sample of SOME of the stuff on the album. The rest will contain stuff that both sounds familiar but also stuff that doesn’t. We’re in the studio now, recording as we speak, and we are all very exited!!”

Sweden’s Electric Boys were one of the first and most celebrated purveyors of the short-lived funk metal phenomenon of the late ’80s and early ’90s. Led by charismatic singer and guitarist Conny Bloom (who later surfaced in Hanoi Rocks) and with a splash of beatle-esque pop-psychedelia, the quartet garnered rave reviews and built an impressive following in Europe & America. Their creative juices were also quickly spent, causing the band to disintegrate into obscurity after only three albums.
