Ex-Guns N’ Roses Bassist Duff McKagan Plans Memoir

February 21, 2010

Former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan is expanding his writing portfolio – he’s in talks to document his rock ‘n’ roll career in a forthcoming memoir.

The rocker-turned-journalist currently writes a regular music column on SeattleWeekly.com and a financial section for Playboy.com called Duffonomics.

And now he will put pen to paper to expose the adventures of his life on the road – according to his wife, model and swimwear designer, Susan Holmes.

Holmes logged on to Twitter.com on Friday, revealing McKagan had travelled to New York regarding the U.S. release of his book. She wrote: “Duff’s back from NYC – he met and was wooed (by) 13 of the best book publishers – this is 4 (for) the release of his book in the US markets only – UK next.”

The bassist formed Duff McKagan’s Loaded in 2000 after parting ways with Axl Rose’s band. In 2002, he re-teamed with his former Guns N’ Roses bandmate Slash to create Velvet Revolver.
