Ex-Slik Toxik guitarist Kevin Gale teams up with Sleaze Roxx writer Tyson Briden to write autobiography
Former Slik Toxik guitarist Kevin Gale has teamed up with none other than Sleaze Roxx writer Tyson Briden to write his autobiography.
Gale posted the following message on his Facebook page back on August 22nd:
“Well. For those that don’t know I’ve been quietly working on a book with a very talented writer by the name of Tyson Briden. White lies and assorted black truths. Still a bit to go yet but we’re getting there.”
The guitarist also provided an update via his Facebook page on August 24th:
“Another great session on the book last night with Tyson Briden. This has been so cathartic for me. I hope you guys will enjoy this when it’s done.”
Gale is best known for his time in Slik Toxik. He was a founding member of the band and recorded three albums with the group: Smooth And Deadly EP (1991), Doin’ The Nasty (1992) and Irrelevant (1994). Gale has also recorded two albums with the band Punishment: Beautiful Suffering EP (2009) and Remnants Of Things Left Unsaid (2016). The guitarist was also part of the reformed 2018 line-up of Sven Gali before getting replaced by Sean Williamson about three months later.
Sleaze Roxx readers are likely familiar with Briden who has conducted a large amount of interviews in the last two years in addition to providing detailed CD and concert reviews. The following was stated indirectly by Sleaze Roxx editor Olivier about Briden‘s writing in the Sleaze Roxx Writers’ Top Five Albums of 2017: “Writing wise, 2017 was an exceptional year for Sleaze Roxx as well. Sleaze Roxx has been blessed with many high quality contributors in the last couple of years and 2017 was no exception. I can honestly say that many of the Sleaze Roxx writers write much better than I ever will and it is truly a pleasure to read and post their reviews, interviews, etc.”
