Famous Underground feat. Nick Walsh to release new single “Corrupted” with special B side
Famous Underground, featuring Moxy and Slik Toxik singer Nick Walsh, are on the verge of releasing a new “digital 45” single “Corrupted” with a special “B” single consisting of the group’s mash up of Megadeth‘s “Peace Sells” and Bob Marley‘s “Get Up Stand Up.” The digital 45 will be released on February 24, 2017.
New material from Famous Underground has been a long time coming. Sleaze Roxx interviewed Walsh back in October 2015 and asked him what was the status of Famous Underground to which the singer replied: “Honestly, we’re still working on new material. There’s about 15 songs written. As I had stated before in some — I don’t remember where it was — but some recent press over the summer, I hope to have about 18 to 20 to choose from and we’re hoping to bring it out next year sometime.”
Walsh was also asked what is his favorite material to sing given his involvement in so many bands and projects to which he stated in part: “Well, I would really have to say that my favorite material to play is the songs that I have written in the Famous Underground band, especially the new material that we are hoping to release to the public next year because they are more dear to me.”
Famous Underground‘s Studio Session Vocal posted on the band’s Facebook page on February 12, 2017:
