Former De La Cruz vocalist Roxx Catalano to release solo album

Roxx Catalano photoAs Sleaze Roxx readers may remember, De La Cruz were a five-piece band hailing from the Gold Coast of Australia who thundered to rock stardom with a record deal with Frontiers back in 2013. Unfortunately, the band imploded quickly after lead axeman and co-songwriter Casey Jones resigned from the band almost immediately after De La Cruz released their full length debut album Street Level.

Since that time, Sleaze Roxx had caught up with and interviewed former De La Cruz frontman Roxx Catalano to get his take on what had transpired with his band as well as what the future might have in store for his musical aspirations.

Catalano announced earlier today via his Facebook page that on February 29th, he will be releasing his first full length solo effort  entitled Dark Skies. This would be nearly four years to the date of the release of Street Level. Catalano states in his Facebook post:

It is a 10 Track Full Length Album of all original songs recorded during 2015 in New Zealand, Finland and Australia.

They say good things take time and I hope this rings true for this album! I’m excited as shit and I hope new and old fans of my work enjoy it as much as I did creating this! Spread the vibes, you’re all fxckin’ radical!!

Thank-you, bless up!!”

A teaser song has been added to Catalano‘s YouTube page as well entitled “Rxckin’ Barbie Doll.”
