Former TNT and Skid Row singer Tony Harnell closing in on two years of sobriety

Ex-TNT and Skid Row lead vocalist Tony Harnell achieved quite a few milestones in 2019 and is nearing two years of sobriety, which he will be celebrating on January 31, 2020.

The following message was posted in part on Harnell‘s Facebook page yesterday (with slight edits):

“What a year!

2019 was uniquely special in so many ways. January 31 marked my first year of sobriety and soon I’ll be hitting the two year mark. That alone has changed my life for the better in every aspect and taught me a wonderful new way of life that I wouldn’t change for the world.

Also in January, I went to Norway to perform on the @rocktheboat.no cruise with my old friend, the super talented @stefanaltzar

Next up StarbreakerDysphoria came out and thankfully you guys loved it!

I also spent some months going to shows, writing, recording and basically getting to know the people and places of Nashville.

In June, I popped up for a fun show in Pennsylvania with the talented @andreviruskarkos and got to hang with some old friends and family. Also this year, I did some amazing photo shoots and a video with my friends at @misfitstagram who’ve been a total blessing to know and work with.

In August, I finally got back to California to see family and drop in at the @thewhiskyagogo for @ultimatejamnight with some old friends and also made some new ones! Thanks @jessica_t_chase @irablack_official_ and @lisamwood1 for your kind support!

After that, it was off to Norway for leg one of my “10,000 Miles To Go Tour” with @haape and @andersodden which was a huge success and tons of fun. Next up was my induction into the Norwegian Popular Music Hall of Fame. What an honor! Thank you @rockheim

In October, I did a really fun show with @stryper at the @wildhorsesaloon with a stellar band that just killed it! Thanks to @maxfryeguitar , @ebassluis , @richiescholl , @trismcintosh and @zcballard for the hard work and a great show!

Next, I finally got the reissue released of the Mercury Train album on white vinyl and digital worldwide and finally more new music with the Lovekillers” album which was released on December 6th.

And every step of the way I’ve seen your messages and posts of love and support for all of it!

So thanks to all of you again and to all of those supporting me behind the scenes! I couldn’t do it without you!

Here’s to an even better 2020 with more shows and hopefully more new music! ???✌?❤️??”
