Former Vixen singer Janet Gardner to release new solo album ‘Your Place In The Sun’ on May 31st

Ex-Vixen lead vocalist Janet Gardner will be releasing her sophomore solo album Your Place In The Sun via Pavement Entertainment on May 31, 2019.

Back in January 2019, Gardner announced that she was leaving Vixen. She provided the following reasons for leaving the band: “Last year was insane for me. It started off in January when we were on a solo run out West and I had to have emergency brain surgery. I made up all of the missed shows and then did a U.K. run. Then Vixen started and we did even more great stuff. When I finally came up for air I was back home to my regular job, taking care of my son and all the other things that I do, and realized I was missing out on a lot because of scheduling. I had to make a decision.”

“Janet Gardner, former frontwoman of Vixen, is back with her sophomore solo album, Your Place In The Sun. The album is set for a global release on May 31, 2019, via Pavement Entertainment, and available for preorder now. Teaming up with guitarist/songwriter/producer Justin James, this new release is the perfect follow-up to the self-titled debut. Your Place In The Sun combines modern rock elements with the classic sound Janet has become known for in her decades of female fronted and influential fury.
