Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes and his wife have new reality TV show
After an infamous appearance in the documentary The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years, which was eventually released on video, former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes along with his wife Sarah Holmes will be appearing in a reality television show called Holmes Sweet Holmes.
The trailer below states (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx) in part:
“It has been 15 years since we’ve last heard from him. He once ruled the ’80s hard rock scene. Coming from the gutters of Los Angeles and making it to the biggest stadiums all around the world, A wild life made up of decibels, parties, excess, booze, booze and more booze. Chris Holmes, the mean man, the animal, is back and ready to roar. Life hasn’t always been fair with Chris but he enjoys at last a gentle and quiet life with the love of his life Sarah. [Sarah Holmes states] “Il y en a qui m’appelle Sarah. Il y en a qui m’appelle Cathy. Et lui, il m’appelle ‘Cupcake.’ [translation: Some call me Sarah. Some call me Cathy. And he calls me ‘Cupcake.’] Witness the tremendous life of two rockers and lovers. Welcome to their Holmes Sweet Holmes. [Chris Holmes states] ‘I moved to Cannes — not trash can — Cannes, south of France.’ From the Sunset Strip to Western Europe. [Chris Holmes states] ‘We’re right here.’ There is never a dull moment with Chris and Sarah. Follow them day after day through their not so ordinary life.
And join Chris as he is ready to take over the world again with the help of new musicians. [Chris Holmes states] ‘Douchebag Tom — he plays lead guitar for me, right. Pascal — the king of meat. I call him the Big Kahuna. He’s cheap. Back on the drums, his name is Fucker. He’s er. He’s from Italy. The Italian Stallion — he’s the Mussolini of rock n’ roll.’ Managed by Sarah, they are preparing to tear down the crowds of Europe and water them down with decibels. Yet, things are far from easy when life is full of obstacles. With no resources or money, or simply because people find you different, Holmes Sweet Holmes is a tale of love and perseverance. [Chris Holmes states] ‘Fuck you. Fuck off.’ And the story of two true believers in their own way… [Chris Holmes states] ‘I’d rather be broke and happy than rich and sad.'”

Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Holmes‘ latest solo album CHP, which was released back in late March 2016: “Before I give out what will be one negative album review, I want to make a point that Chris Holmes has played guitar on some of my favorite albums of all-time. W.A.S.P.‘s self-titled debut album, The Last Command and The Headless Children are simply absolutely brilliant albums that I still really enjoy more than 25 to 30 years later. W.A.S.P.‘s Inside The Electric Circus is in my eyes a very underrated album and contains some amazing tracks. Holmes was a part of all four of those albums and for that reason alone, I will always be interested to hear whatever he comes up hoping that the “magic” will come back one more time. I have to think that it’s on the strength of those albums and some of the other subsequent W.A.S.P. albums that Holmes was a part of that the giant of a man has a record label behind him and still a lot of interest despite the mostly mediocre songs that he has come up with on his own.”
Sleaze Roxx concluded its review by stating: “Even though Holmes has delivered for the most part, one awful and at times unlistenable (mostly due to his “vocals”) album, or “the best of” from two presumably and likely awful albums, I would still go see him play live hoping to hear a few W.A.S.P. classics and because after all, it’s Chris “Fucking” Holmes.”
