Gene Simmons Family Jewels Wins Telly Award

March 20, 2008

“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” was honored this week by the 29th Annual Telly Awards with a bronze award. Founded in 1978, The Telly is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.

“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” was chosen from more than 14,000 entries from around the world.

Also, Gene Simmons confirmed that he is fine after a recent episode of Family Jewels:

“Thank you one and all for the kind emails you’ve sent inquiring if I’m ok. Yes. I’m fine. One of our new GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS episodes had me on a treadmill doing a stress test. We all should do that. I did just fine. I’m on tour with my favorite band, KISS and if any of you have seen us, we do this 2 hours a night, on 8 inch platform heels and another 20 or 30 pounds of guitars and armor. Yes. I’m fine.”
