Geoff Tate, Tim “Ripper” Owens and Blaze Bayley combine forces for tour dates
Three of the most respected lead vocalists in heavy metal are combining forces for a select amount of tour dates in the USA.
Former Queensrÿche singer Geoff Tate, ex-Judas Priest frontman Tim “Ripper” Owens and ex-Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley are combining forces as Trinity.
The promo video (see below) states: “Three of the most well respected heavy metal singers… From three of the most famous heavy metal bands. Tim “Ripper” Owens “Priest” — Blaze Bayley “Maiden” — Geoff Tate “Ryche” — A full night of metal featuring songs sung by three of the best voices in metal. Together in one night playing all the hits. A must see for metal fan!”
Of note, the trio’s new promo video does not mention the names of the three singers’ respective former bands in full likely not to engage in some kind of legal wars over the use of the Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Queensrÿche names.
The following message was posted on Tate‘s Facebook page yesterday:
