Glenn Hughes to reportedly replace John Corabi and Marco Mendoza in The Dead Daisies

Big changes are reportedly happening with The Dead Daisies as frontman John Corabi has apparently left the band and will be replaced by lead vocalist / bassist Glenn Hughes. Current The Dead Daisies bassist Marco Mendoza is also apparently out of the band. Corabi joined The Dead Daisies in 2015 while Mendoza played in the group in 2013 and again from 2014 onwards.

All That Shreds has reported as follows:

“Rumors have been swirling around that Dead Daises singer John Corabi left the band last year.  There have been confirmed reports for several months that Corabi has been replaced by singer Glenn Hughes.  With Hughes playing bass, Marco Mendoza is no longer with the band.  The current line-up is Hughes, guitarists Doug Aldrich, David Lowry, and drummer Deen Castronovo.  The band is in LA recording a new album for release in early 2020.”

Both Corabi and Mendoza have a number of solo shows lined up for the future. Mendoza is currently on tour in the UK and has some dates lined up for September in the US while Corabi has a couple of solo acoustic gigs lined up in the USA for September and October, and a number of dates in Europe for December 2019.

The Dead Daisies consisting of Marco Mendoza (bass), John Corabi (lead vocals), David Lowy (rhythm guitar), Doug Aldrich (lead guitar) and Deen Castronovo (drums) are releasing a covers album titled Locked And Loaded – The Covers Album via Steamhammer on August 23, 2019. The covers album will also feature alumni band members Jon Stevens (lead vocals), Brian Tichy (drums), Richard Fortus (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards) and Jackie Barnes (drums).
