Guitarist Oz Fox getting ready to tour with Stryper in October
Great news for Stryper fans as guitarist Oz Fox is getting ready to rejoin the Stryper line-up for the band’s shows in October 2018. As has been well documented by Sleaze Roxx, Fox has been ongoing various medical tests and recovering after suffering a medical emergency in early August 2018 that has left him unable to drive or fly (and therefore unable to tour) for a certain period of time. This forced Stryper to make difficult decisions including performing as a trio for a number of shows in Australia during the month of August, cancelling (or adjourning) their Japan tour dates and finding a temporary replacement (Howard Simon) for Fox until the latter is able to tour again. Stryper‘s first October tour date appears to be at The Vogue in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA on October 12, 2018.
The following message was posted on the Facebook page from Fox‘s wife Annie Lobert yesterday:
“Oz Update 12: EEG Test
Oz went to one of his neurologist yesterday to talk about his EEG test to be taken and reducing his medication.
1. His doctor said they will allow him to get his medication slightly lowered…this is great news!
2. Test for EEG was done today to see the electrical activity around his tumors in his brain. Results will be in next week with new follow up appointment.
3. Doctor gave Oz some good news…he can step out and try a (to play) a little before he leaves on tour for Stryper in October! He needs adequate rest & to make sure he is not stressed out. This will insure he is ready for tour in Stryper & there will be no complications that arise.
Oz is very happy about this!
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
So thank you for all your prayers! They are working!
We love & appreciate all!
Annie & Oz“
