February 5, 2015

Gun are sharing their brand new single “Labour Of Life”, taken from the Scottish band’s forthcoming album ‘Frantic’.

‘Frantic’ is set for release on March 23rd and is available for pre-order at Umusicdirect.com/gun. The record will be available on CD, 180 gram vinyl, digital download and deluxe 2CD format featuring an exclusive ‘Live At King Tut’s’ disc. For those of you who prefer your music digital, an iTunes Deluxe pre-order featuring four new B-sides will be coming very soon.

Regarding the new album frontman Dante Gizzi said, “We’ve had such an amazing time recording this album and had the privilege of recording it in some of the most prestigious studios across Europe, such as Sarm in London, ICP studios in Brussels and also on home turf at the fabulous Gorbals Sound in Glasgow. We believe that this album has captured the Gun style in every way and we hope the fans will love it as much as we’ve loved recording it!”

Gun’s contemporary take on authentic rock gave them an edge over their peers during the late ’80s. Formed in Glasgow, Scotland, by the Gizzi brothers, they came to re-invent the rock ‘n’ roll genre. Released in 1989, ‘Taking On The World’ was included in Classic Rock magazine’s list of the 150 Greatest Debut Albums of All Time. Kerrang Magazine gave the album 5K, stating, “The brilliance of Taking On The World comes as no surprise,” while Phil Alexander called it “…pop rock at its finest”. ‘Taking On The World’ marked a milestone in the Scottish band’s history, selling more than 60, 000 copies in the UK alone while the single “Better Days” charted in the UK top 40.
