Guns N’ Roses Uploader A Free Man

July 17, 2010

The 29-year-old rock fan convicted of illegally uploading nine unheard Guns N’ Roses tracks is a free man again after completing a year of probation.

Kevin Cogill served two months under house arrest and has been on probation since his sentencing a year ago.

And Cogill is thrilled he wasn’t asked to film an anti-piracy public service announcement for the Recording Industry Association of America, as expected during his year under the court’s jurisdiction.

He tells Wired.com, “I knew as soon as this went down, nobody would give a s**t about me doing a PSA.”
